How to Apply False Eyelashes

How to Apply False Eyelashes

How nice it would be if we all had long eyelashes! But not all of us are lucky to have them. Thanks to the invention of false eyelashes, there is no need to despair. We can all enjoy having flamboyant eyelashes if we so choose. If you know how to apply false eyelashes, you can make them appear natural. The procedure is relatively simple. Follow the detailed steps below:

  1. Trim the false eyelashes. They should not be wider than your natural eyelashes. If they are, then trim the sides off lash by lash. Trim the length of each lash individually as well. They should not be excessively long towards the outer corner of each eye. Also, make sure that there is barely a gap between your real eyelashes and the fake ones. Do not exaggerate the curl to make them look more natural.

  2. Apply eyelash glue to the back of your hand and run the false eyelash along it. Softly blow from edge to edge, making the glue a little less liquid before applying it to the base of your lashes. You can use black eyelash glue because it will look like you just have black eyeliner on.

With the use of clean tweezers, pick one set up and bring it as close to your natural lash line as possible. For individual lashes, start in the outer corner and work your way in. Do not use excessive glue as it can create an obvious residue build-up on your natural eyelashes. It might also drip into your eyes.

  3. Slightly press it from end to end and hold it in place for approximately one minute or less until the glue has dried up. This will ensure that the false eyelashes do not stick to your fingertips when you release your grip.

  4. Curl your natural eyelashes along with the fake ones using an eyelash curler. Gently apply mascara while pressing your finger behind the false eyelashes. This will allow the fake and natural lashes to bond together.

  5. Fill the gaps between the false eyelashes and your natural eyelashes using an eye liner. Inspect the results in the mirror.

  6. Remove your false eyelashes using the special remover that comes with your false eyelash kit before sleeping. You can also use a wet washcloth to loosen the glue. Apply some petroleum jelly for stubborn lashes. Don’t pull too hard. You want to preserve them and to prevent damage to your natural ones as well. You can reuse them later. Store them in their original package to preserve their shape.

  7. You can also add false eyelashes to the lower portions of your eyes for a more dramatic effect.

The effects of false eye lashes can be very flattering. Hence, you should learn how to apply false eyelashes and flaunt them as if you were born with them. Daily wear may not be conducive to your lifestyle but wearing them on special occasions is not a burden. Make sure that you have the right outfit and makeup to match. Additional accessories are not necessary when you have them on. Use only clean false eyelashes to avoid contaminating your eyes with harmful bacteria. Never use those that have been used by others. If you experience any irritation, remove the false eyelashes immediately. Wash them and your eyes with water before putting them back on. Proper sanitation is necessary for eye accessories like false eyelashes.
