How to Clean Pores

How to clean pores is an interesting question that most of us are excited or curious to know the answer. If you have not done it yet or perhaps you are not happy with your skin care routine, you can review the following steps and adapt the ones that are applicable to your needs:

  1. Wash your face with a mild facial cleanser twice a day – once in the morning and secondly before bedtime. Use warm water first to open up your pores. Take a drop of mild cleanser and massage it gently over your entire face. This loosens the collected dirt and washes it from your skin. Rinsing with cold water closes your pores. Pat the face dry with a clean, soft towel.

  2. Know your skin type and only buy cleansers and moisturizers that are suitable for your skin. Read the labels. Oil essences and artificial fragrances are not good for dry and sensitive skin. If you have oily skin opt for gel-based cleanser and moisturizer – You don’t want to clog the pores with more oil. Only apply the moisturizer at bedtime. Normal skin is best maintained with mild soap and water.

llow with astringent to close the pores and moisturize to revive your face after every washing. Put on your high SPF sunscreen during the day.

  3. Steam your face at least once a week for a deep cleaning apart from your daily skin care routine. This prevents the dirt build-up inside pores that cause pimple outbreaks. You can either do this in a skin care clinic or follow the next steps to do it yourself.

  4. Boil 2-3 cups of clean water. Afterwards, pour it in a suitable bowl. Set the bowl on a table. Add a few drops of lavender or peppermint oil to create a relaxing aroma. Wrap both your head and hair with a towel. Position your face about 6 inches away from the boiled water or just enough to feel the warmth of the steam from the scented water. Steam your face for 5-10 minutes. Take 2 ice cubes and gently rub them on your face to close the opened pores. Pat your face dry with a clean towel. Do not use a rough towel since it could cause sores or inflammation.

  5. Make a natural home-made mask to remove the dirt from your pores. Combine 5ml of fresh milk and a tablespoon of unflavored gelatin in a small bowl. Mix until it thickens. Warm the mixture in the microwave for 10 seconds. Wash your hands before applying the paste on your face. If desired, use a cosmetic brush. Spread the paste gently onto your face avoiding the eyes, eyebrows, nostrils and lip areas. Let it stand for several minutes to dry and then peel off the mask gently.

  6. Draw away dead skin and dirt by exfoliating your skin. Exfoliating should be done twice a month to maintain a healthy skin. Use natural ingredients from your kitchen to create an organic exfoliating mixture. Mix 10ml of unflavored olive oil and ½ cup of refined sugar. Stir the mixture well. Rub the mixture to your body and let it rest for 10 minutes. Do not rub your face roughly since that could irritate your skin. Take a shower and clean your body with mild soap.

How to clean pores is essential to maintaining a healthy and glowing skin. To prevent dry skin don’t over wash.
