  3. Warm water is ideal for washing shoes with stubborn stains.

ver, if you can’t be troubled to heat up some water, you can make do with what comes out of the tap. If the dirt is minimal, you can wet canvas or fabric-based white shoes with water, add liquid or powder detergent, and scrub away with a toothbrush.

But if your footwear really needs a good washing, soak it in a basin of warm water mixed with detergent. You can also use a combination of baking soda and laundry detergent. Scrub it good all over, including the interior.

For white leather shoes, you don’t need to soak them in water. You can just rub the shoes with a wet cloth dipped in a soapy solution.

  4. If your shoes have stubborn grass stains, you can make a baking soda paste, apply, and scrub the affected areas with an old toothbrush. After you’re done scrubbing, pour a little distilled vinegar onto the baking soda paste to create a bubbly reaction to remove the stain from the fabric.
