Like any other meat, what matters most is the way you prepare the pork chop before cooking. According to some cooking experts, the juicy texture of pork chops can be attained when they are properly cooked. Proper cooking means observing the right meat temperature and the correct cooking temperature. In addition, the pork chop meat must be marinated with the finest sauces mixed with the right seasonings and spices. How you cook the pork chops depends on the kind of taste and meat texture you want. You can have it crunchy or fry it naturally. You can also try grilling, baking or cooking pork chops in an oven or rotisserie. No matter what kind of cooking recipe you use, make sure that you prepare and cook your pork chops just the way you want it.

Here are the steps you can follow in cooking your all-time favorite pork chops.

  1. Prepare your pork chop meat. If you are buying freshly cut pork chops, make sure to wash the meat thoroughly. If the meat is frozen, defrost it in at room temperature until the pork chop becomes soft, tender and ice-free.

  2. Prepare your spices and other seasonings. Clean the spices properly and finely cut them into pieces. Put all the finely cut spices into a medium-sized bowl and add the needed sauces.

  3. Marinate overnight. Place the meat into a container with a lid and marinate overnight. The marinating process will properly season the meat. This will allow the juices, spices and seasonings to properly penetrate the meat.

  4. Defrost the meat. Before cooking, allow the meat to defrost naturally. Do not wash it again; this may hinder the taste. Defrost it in open air or at room temperature until the meat becomes tender and soft.

  5. Frying. Pre-heat the frying pan with cooking oil in it. Apply breadcrumbs or flour with seasoning to every pork chop cut before frying. When the oil is hot, slowly place the pork chops one by one onto the frying pan. You can choose either deep frying or just the normal frying process to preserve the tender taste of the meat.

  6. Roasting. This is another option if you want to bake or roast pork chops. Pre-heat the oven or rotisserie. Place the pork chops on the baking pan. Dip the tip of the thermometer into the pork chop meat in order to determine the desired cooking temperature. While roasting, wipe the meat with the marinate sauce from time to time until the desired cooking style is attained.

  7. Baking. The fats must be trimmed. Soak the pork chops onto a mixture of egg whites and evaporated milk for five to eight minutes. Next, place each pork chop cut on the baking pan. Bake the pork chop meat at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes. Flip the meat and bake for another 20 to 25 minutes using the same cooking temperature.

  8. Grilling. Pre-heat the grill anywhere between 325 up to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the grill gets hot, place each pork chop cut. Grill for about 10 minutes on each side of the meat. This cooking time is advisable for pork chop size measuring half an inch thick at most. Use a meat thermometer to determine the internal temperature of the meat. The internal temperature will tell you if the meat is properly cooked according to your desire.

These are the different ways on how to cook pork chops at home. Remember, the preparation of the meat, the pre-heating of the cooking equipment, the determination of the right cooking time and the checking of the internal meat temperature are the key factors you need to consider. The end result will be a delicious dish for your family.
