Here are some tips that you can follow in order to say goodbye to your double chin:

  1. Exercise your chin. Your abs is not the only part of your body that you can shape and exercise. You can also exercise your chin so as to get rid of the unwanted fat. One exercise follows: Open your mouth wide, and then move your jaw upwards and downwards repeatedly, as though you are scooping something. A way to know if you’re doing it right is to make sure that your lower teeth are touching your upper lip. Repeat this several times every day. Another exercise that you can do is to tilt your head back and look up at the sky. Pucker your lips for five seconds, and then repeat them as many times as you want.

  3. Lose weight. Usually, a double chin results, not just because you are getting older, but also because of your lifestyle. Maybe you are not watching your diet or exercising your body. Be more conscious of what you eat and avoid fatty and high calorie foods. You should also hit the gym and lose weight by doing physical exercises. If you don’t have the money and time to go to the gym, you can walk and run on your own.

  4. Hydrate your body. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day helps flush out toxins and keeps your calories within the normal range. Avoid drinks that are high in calories, such as carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol, and sweetened drinks.

  5. Keep good posture. Your posture actually plays a big role in getting rid of your double chin. If your posture is bad, the loose skin on your chin will become more prominent, leading to a double chin. To solve this problem, you should always straighten your back and hold your chin up whether you are sitting or standing. Don’t get into the habit of hunching over. If your job requires you to sit down for hours, you may want to invest in an ergonomic chair that helps keep your back straight. This way, your double chin will become less visible.

Although getting a double chin is a normal part of the aging process, you can still take steps to figure out how to get rid of double chin. Without a double chin, you can have your pictures taken at any angle without the fear of looking like a flabby blob. Moreover, you will gain more self-confidence when people notice that you are aging gracefully.
