How to Get Rid of Stretch Marks Naturally

Stretch marks are permanent marks that can be found on the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, and hips. They result from the excessive stretching of the skin during pregnancy, puberty, and weight gain.   1. Lime juice. Since stretch marks look like whitish or silver discoloration on the skin, a bleaching solution can be used on the skin. A good example is lime juice, since it bleaches the skin naturally, making the stretch marks less noticeable. You can mix two to three drops of lime juice with oatmeal. Make the mixture into a paste, apply the paste on the stretch marks, and leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing off. You can apply the mixture to your stretch marks twice a day.

    The paste resulting from a combination of coffee grinds and olive oil is an effective treatment for stretch marks. Massage the paste on your stretch marks, leave it on for five minutes, then put a hot towel on it for 20-25 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. You can also apply moisturizer to the area afterwards. You may start to see results in 2 weeks.

  3. Hot baths and massages. Massages and hot baths targeting the areas with stretch marks can help stimulate blood circulation to them, facilitating faster healing. These are best used for fresh stretch marks. When you have massages, you also have to select basic oils to use, such as cod liver oil and olive oil. They are great for moisturizing the skin.

  4. Eat a balanced diet. You should eat a lot of foods rich in minerals and vitamins, especially vitamins C and E. These include fruits and vegetables. They help rejuvenate the skin, thus reducing the appearance of stretch marks.

  5. Vitamin E. Aside from getting vitamin E in your diet, you can also use vitamin E capsules for dietary supplementation or apply their contents directly on the stretch marks. Just puncture a capsule of vitamin E and apply its contents on your stretch marks while massaging firmly. The vitamin E will stimulate collagen production in the skin, which will help it become smoother.

  6. Moisturizers. If you use them on a daily basis, you will help your skin become supple, smooth, and soft. Constant application can also help reduce stretch marks.

  7. Cocoa butter. Many herbalists recommend the application of cocoa butter on stretch marks since it is rich in vitamin E. As previously mentioned, vitamin E is one of the most effective treatments for a variety of skin problems.

  8. Gotu Kola. This herb is said to increase collagen in the skin, thus contributing to the faster healing of scar tissue, a decrease in inflammation, and the improvement of circulation. Gotu Kola can be taken orally or used topically.

  9. Coconut oil. The fatty chain acids contained in coconut oil have the purpose of regenerating and rebuilding the connective tissues. Hence, they improve the appearance and texture of stretch marks.
