How to Grow Eyebrows Back in a Week

Fact: it takes about 12 to 18 months for each eyebrow hair to grow back completely and about 4 to 8 weeks before they start becoming obvious. But this isn't obvious because you keep seeing new regrowth each week. However, those new hairs are not the same strand that you plucked a couple of days ago. If you happened to overpluck your brows or want to achieve fuller ones a la Cara Delevingne, you'll want to know how to grow eyebrows back in a week. Well, considering the fact mentioned in the beginning, that's a very tricky goal. However, you can take some steps to hasten brow growth and make it look like you've made them come back in seven days or so. Here's what you can do:

  1. Work from the inside out to help your hair grow. Eat a balanced diet and take vitamin supplements to ensure you achieve the daily recommended nutritional intake. You can also take biotin, which is known to support hair growth. Aside from this, drink at least eight glasses of water per day.

  2. While you're waiting for your brows to grow back, stop tweezing, waxing, threading, or shaving any part of your eyebrows, except those growing far from your brow line.

  3. Don't apply any synthetic product on your brows in the meantime, not even lotions, as these may clog hair follicles and make the growth sluggish. Also, certain products may contain ingredients that interfere with the growth or even cause brow hair loss. When applying sunscreen or cosmetics, make sure you don't touch your brow area.

  4. You can apply natural oils, such as vitamin E, castor, or olive oil, to make it easier for your follicles to grow new hair. Apply any of these with a cotton bud or ball and massage the brow using a fine eyebrow brush. Move it in circular motions in the same direction as the hair growth to boost growth speed. Just make sure you do this gently, without pulling on the skin or hair so you don't end up accidentally making a precious strand fall out.

  5. Exfoliating can help stimulate growth, as it removes dead skin cells and unclogs follicles, making it easier for each strand to push out of the follicles. You can use a soft toothbrush to brush your brows.

  6. Use Rogaine on your brows, as it has a component—Minoxidil—that has been clinically shown to stimulate hair growth. Get the Men's Rogaine Extra Strength variant, as this has a 5% Minoxidil solution, which is sufficient to make brow hair really grow. Simply dip a cotton bud into the solution, just enough so it doesn't drip, and dab it over your eyebrows, especially on the sparse or thin areas. Do this daily, up to twice a day. Make sure nothing gets into your eyes!

A drastic, last-resort solution regarding how to grow eyebrows back in a week is brow transplants. You get some hairs from your head grafted onto your brows, with the procedure taking only a few hours to complete. With this method, you'll definitely have eyebrows within days, although this is a considerably expensive option.
