An interesting way of arranging a bunch of cupcakes is to make a beautiful cupcake bouquet. This may sound difficult, but don’t be deceived. Learning how to make a cupcake bouquet is fun to do.

When making a cupcake bouquet, you have to make sure that you have enough cupcakes. Also, you have to decorate the cupcakes beforehand. You can pipe out any colorful designs that will make the cupcakes look like flowers. Pick a flower that you can actually draw or pipe out easily. For example, a sunflower has a very distinct look, but it is easy to make.

Here are the steps on how to make a wonderful cupcake bouquet:

  1. Since this might turn out to be just like any other art project, gather all the materials that you need. For this project, you will need the following items: a seven inch Styrofoam ball, a flower vase that can hold the Styrofoam in place, 23 to 25 pieces of the cupcakes with flower designs, 23 to 25 pieces of thick sticks, a glue gun with a glue stick, a rock small enough to fit inside the vase, a knife, toothpicks and ribbons.

  2. Put the rock inside the vase. This will prevent everything else from moving while you are working on your project.

  3. Using the hot glue stick, attach the round Styrofoam to the vase. Wait for it to dry.

  4. Get one cupcake and decide where you want to place it. It is better if you start at the bottom and work your way up. So, position one cupcake just above the pot’s rim. Draw a mark or a small slit using a knife.

  5. Get one stick and cut it in half. Push it into the existing slit that you just made. Make sure that you leave at least an inch of the stick outside for the cupcakes. It is best if you slightly aim the sticks upward to prevent the cupcakes from sliding off.

  6. Get one cupcake and make a small cut at the bottom center of it. Push the cupcake onto the stick. Make sure that the cupcake is firmly stuck to the stick. Repeat steps four, five and six to create the entire bottom row. It probably would take nine pieces of cupcakes.

  7. Start the second layer with the same steps. It is better to start by attaching the first cupcake in between two cupcakes from the bottom row to create the effect.

  8. The top layer will probably require two to three cupcakes. Pay attention to the pattern and practice good judgment in placement.

  9. For the spaces between the cupcakes, you can add in leaves that you have in your garden. Stick them on toothpicks.

  10. You can also wrap a lace or a ribbon around the pot or vase to make it more presentable.

Transporting this cupcake bouquet is a very challenging task, so you have to be very careful. Learning the basic steps of how to make a cupcake bouquet can be quite tricky at first. Once you get the hang of it, you can incorporate your own style.
