To make this mask, mash half of an avocado until the pulp is free of lumps. Add in one teaspoon of yogurt and one egg white and mix well.

c. Soothing mask for combination skin: Combination skin needs a balance of nourishing ingredients to soothe dry skin while still combating oiliness in the forehead, nose and chin. This perfect combination of edibles gives your skin the right amount of nutrients for a radiant complexion. To make this mask, mash the pulp of half a ripe banana. In a pan, heat one teaspoon of full fat milk until you see a skin-like film form on the surface. Mix this with the mashed banana, and add in a teaspoon of honey and one egg white.

Apply the mask. If the consistency of your mask is manageable, you can apply it using clean fingertips. If it is a bit runny, use a cotton ball. Spread the mixture over your face while avoiding the eyes and lips. Leave on for about 10 to 15 minutes or until dry. You’ll feel a tightness over your skin as the mask dries. This is because the egg is working to tighten your skin pores too.

Once the mask is dry, you can then rinse it off gently with warm water as it may not be easy to rinse off with cold water. Once you’ve rinsed off all the remnants of the mask, do a final rinse with cold water to seal off your pores.
