How to Make Bubbling Bath Salts

It is nice to take a nice and long refreshing bath after a hard day’s work. While soaking in warm water is already soothing, you can make it more rejuvenating by making bubbling bath salts. These fizzy bath salts give you the experience of a luxurious pampering treatment. Even though you can buy such salts, you can actually make some at home. Here are some of the recipes on how to make bubbling bath salts: Truffles bubbling bath salt

  1. You’ll need the following ingredients:

    A: 1 cup of baking soda

    B: 1/3 cup of cocoa butter

    C: 2/3 cup of sea salt

    D: 1/3 cup of sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSa)

    E: 2/3 cup of citric acid

    F: 1/3 cup of oatmeal

    G: Few drops of vanilla plant extract.

  2. You’ll need the following equipment:

    A: 1 disposable face mask

    B: 1 mixing bowl

    C: 1 frying pan

    D: 1 pan smaller than the frying pan

    E: 1 small jar

  3. Put on your face mask to avoid inhaling the SLSa, which can be irritating to your nostrils.

  4. In the mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients together: baking soda, sea salt, SLSa, citric acid, and oatmeal. Set it aside.

  5. Pour some water into the frying pan and place it on the stove on medium heat. Put the cocoa butter in the smaller pan and place this pan over the frying pan. This will melt the cocoa butter using the double boiler method. Let it cool after melting.

  6. When the butter is cool, add a few drops of vanilla plant extract and mix.

  7. Pour the butter mixture into the dry ingredients and stir everything together.

  8. Use the rim of the small jar to mold the mixture into bath salts.

  9. Place the bath salts in the freezer for one hour to harden them. You may use them in your bath afterward.

Dead Sea bubbling bath salts
  1. You’ll need the following ingredients (make sure to use metal spoons to measure out each ingredient):

    A: ½ cup of liquid glycerin soap base

    B: 2 teaspoons of fragrance oil

    C: 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil

    D: 6 cups of coarse dead sea salts

    E: A few drops of gel salt colorant

  2. You’ll need the following equipment:

    A: 1 metal or glass bowl

    B: 1 cookie sheet

    C: 1 wax paper

  3. In a metal bowl, mix the gel salt colorant, sweet almond oil, fragrance oil, and liquid glycerin soap base.

  4. Add the Dead Sea salts and continuously mix until the salts are evenly coated with the liquid mixture.

  5. Spread the salt mixture on a cookie sheet, and then cover it with wax paper. Let it dry for 24 hours before using.

Citrus bath salts
  1. You’ll need the following ingredients:

    A: 2 cups of Epsom salts

    B: 20 drops of lemon or orange essential oil

    C: 1 cup of baking soda

    D: 1 orange or lemon, freshly grated

  2. You’ll need the following equipment:

    A: 1 large jar

    B: 1 glass bowl

    C: 1 metal spoon

  3. Mix the Epsom salts and baking soda in the glass bowl.

  4. Add the freshly grated orange or lemon and stir all of the ingredients together.

  5. Add the 20 drops of essential oil of your choice. Citrus essential oils refresh the body.

  6. When you’ve thoroughly mixed everything, place the bath salts inside the jar and seal it. Leave it for a couple of days to thoroughly infuse the oil into the salts before using them.

When you know how to make bubbling bath salts, you can easily give yourself a beautiful bath treat anytime you want without going to an expensive spa or salon. You can also give these bubbling bath salts as a gift to friends and loved ones. Simply package them in a jar and decorate it with ribbons, and they make for perfect presents.
