Learn how to make chocolate chip cookies and you would be surprised why your place is a favorite haven for children and adults alike. Chocolate chip cookies are all-time treats. They can be savored together with various drinks; juices, chocolate, coffee, sodas, and plain water. They are great snacks as well as holiday presents. There are only a few details you need to consider when baking chocolate chip cookies. Here they are:

  1. Make a checklist of your ingredients: 1 cup unsalted,  room temperature butter , 3/4 cup packed brown sugar, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 2 eggs, 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, and one 12-ounce package or 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips.

  2. Gather all baking equipment needed: electric mixer or mixing spoon, mixing bowls -1 medium and 1 large, cookie sheet, wire cooling rack, spatula, a set of measuring spoons and cups, plus optional parchment paper.

  3. Bake only what your oven can accommodate at one time.

indicated ingredients will make around 60 cookies. Preheat your oven to 375° F or 191° C. If you need to make more cookies, do a second batch of dough or as needed.

  4. Combine the butter, sugar and brown sugar into a large mixing bowl and beat on medium speed for one minute. Scrape the sides of the bowl occasionally so as not to waste some of the mixture.

  5. Add the eggs and vanilla. Break the eggs into a separate bowl to guarantee that you don't include eggshells in your cookies. If some pieces of eggshell happen to fall into the bowl, make an extra effort to eliminate them.

  6.  Beat until these are combined. Continue to scrape the sides of the bowl to evenly blend ingredients. Don't over-mix the batter. This can lead to a tougher cookie. When the mixture is consistent enough, stop mixing.

  7. Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a separate bowl. Just do a little bit of mixing using a dry spoon.

  8. Slowly add the flour mixture into the other ingredients beating in as much as you can with the mixer and then stirring in any remaining flour with a spoon. Do thorough blending at this time.

  9. Add the chocolate chips by gently stirring with a spoon until they're evenly mixed throughout the batter. You can be generous on this one, but quality chocolate chips are better than quantity.

  10. Drop the dough in rounded, teaspoon-sized balls. Place them two inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Line the sheet with parchment paper if you want to. This is optional just to prevent them from sticking to the cookie sheet.

  11. Bake for eight to ten minutes or until their edges are golden brown.  Do not wait until the whole cookie has turned brown. If the toothpick can be cleanly removed from the center, they’re done.

  12. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. Move the cookies to cool on a wire rack for five minutes before arranging them onto a serving plate or in beautiful containers.

Now that you have additional knowledge on how to make chocolate chip cookies, experiment with them right away. Skills cannot be mastered in one day. There are things like perfect timing, touch, and smell that you have to experience before making them the way you want them to be. Young bakers can also start from this one lesson to get the immediate satisfaction that most children desire from their cooking sessions. Gathering some friends around for the tasting tests will be the perfect reason for a good get-together.
