Of course, just like with any homemade ice cream, waiting on the freezing process might feel like torture, but in the end, it’s all worth it. What’s more, this easy recipe on how to make strawberry cheesecake ice cream doesn’t require an ice cream machine. It’s done the old-fashioned way, and if you’re craving the genuine goodness of a homemade ice cream, this is it!

  1. To get started, you need the following ingredients:

    block cream cheese, softened

    b. 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk

    c. 1 8-ounce tub Cool Whip

    d. ¼ cup butter, softened

    e. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

    f. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

    g. 1 21-ounce can strawberry pie filling

    h. 15 golden Oreo cookies if desired

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, Cool Whip, butter, vanilla extract and lemon juice. Using a hand mixer on medium, work the ingredients together until the mixture turns smooth. Set aside.

  3. If you want some crunch, combine the golden Oreos with ¼ cup butter in a food processor until they are crumbly and clumpy. You can use other methods that may be more convenient for you, such as using a rolling pin or other instrument to crush the Oreos and butter in a large ziplock bag. If preferred, substitute the Oreos with graham crackers. Pour the crumbs into the center of the batter from step 2. Don’t stir.

  4. Next, pour strawberry pie filling over the Oreo crumbs. Gently fold the filling and Oreo crumbs using a rubber spatula. Do not over mix. You should see red and pink swirls of strawberries and golden Oreos pieces.

  5. Pour the mixture into a standard loaf pan. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Leave it in the freezer for at least 6 hours. Overnight is best.

  6. When you’re ready to serve it, allow to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes if it’s frozen solid.

  7. Scoop out and serve in ice cream bowls. You can add fudge, nuts, or anything that you fancy, as toppings.

It makes the perfect dessert for the summer months. If you want a bigger batch (which you will), simply double or triple the ingredients. With this easy recipe on how to make strawberry cheesecake ice cream, you’ll be making family and friends with a sweet tooth smile wide. Don’t forget to save some for yourself.
