Skin whitening products have flooded the global market. They range from bath soaps to moisturizing lotions. Interestingly, they are still on the rise, especially in Asia.   1. Refrain from staying under the sun.  If you can’t help it, use sunscreen with a high SPF level. Skin with sunburn or any UV-inflicted damage may experience adverse effects when a whitening product is applied.

  2. Do not under estimate home remedies.

    ou can make one by mixing 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and egg white. Apply it into your skin using your hands. Let it stay on for about 10 minutes then wash it off with milk. Do this regularly and observe the results after a few repetitions. You can also mix milk and flour and apply the mixture to your face like a mask. This paste can definitely whiten your skin after several applications.

  3. Take vitamin C supplements, or eat vitamin C-rich fruits, or drink their fresh juices regularly. They lessen melanin production, which is responsible for the color of our skin. Bear in mind that a vitamin C overdose will not give you faster results. Instead, it could cramps, bloating, headaches, diarrhea, heartburn, insomnia, and kidney stones.

  4. Use papaya soap as it is really effective, but only after prolonged use. Papain or the enzymes found in papayas promote quick skin renewal. They act as a whitening agent that has skin restoration ability and is capable of combating hyperpigmented skin. Many papaya soap testimonials are evident on Youtube.

  5. Be cautious when opting for skin bleaching. Let a skin specialist do this or investigate deeply when buying the bleach. Check the labels and buy products without mercury compounds. These compounds can damage your skin and make you prone to diseases like cancer. It is better to use bleaching creams and lotions with compounds such as hydroquinone, lactic acid, glycolic acid, and kojic acid. Hydroquinone is an FDA-approved chemical for skin care products. Glycolic acids are from fruits. Lactic acid is processed from milk and cheese. Kojic acid is a fungi-cultured liquid. Once-a-day application is recommended with these products.

  6. Spend money on laser skin resurfacing if you can.  The American Society of Plastic Surgeons explained in 2008 that the procedure uses intense light to remove dark layers of skin. Natural skin lighteners are also used during the treatment. They include kojic acid and licorice extract, which break down the melanin pigment present in the dermis to further lighten the skin.

Spending a fortune to figure out how to make your skin whiter is your prerogative. There is nothing wrong if a reputable advanced dermatological method makes you happy. However, you should have a realistic attitude. The different techniques may be able to lighten your skin to some degree, but perhaps not to the degree that you want.
